The operations section officer turns the commander's intent into specific tasks for the units: drafts combat orders and directives, passes them on to those who will carry them out, and aligns timelines and lines of action with staff sections and neighbouring units. This is staff work that requires continuous monitoring of task progress and regular reporting to the command.
Responsibilities
- drafting combat orders, directives and other command documents;
- passing tasks to the units and confirming they have been received;
- aligning tasks, deadlines and lines of action with staff sections;
- liaising with neighbouring units during planning;
- continuous monitoring of the progress of combat tasks;
- reporting to the command on the status of assigned tasks.
Requirements
- higher education;
- staff work, command and operational planning skills;
- experience of staff service or work at a command post;
- ability to set out tasks clearly in written documents;
- military education at tactical or operational-tactical level is an advantage;
- combat experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- officer position; service under contract or through mobilization, or transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 26,000 to UAH 126,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- benefits, annual paid leave, additional leave and statutory social guarantees.
