FPV Drone Pilot
Combat Roles50 000-120 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The FPV drone pilot flies combat missions to strike enemy vehicles and personnel. Prepares and checks the drones, sets up the control equipment and selects frequencies, works with analogue and digital video and control links. Guides the drone onto the target together with the crew and reconnaissance. The work is on combat positions and requires concentration under stress.
Responsibilities
- flying FPV drones in combat to strike enemy vehicles and personnel;
- preparing and checking FPV drones before combat flights;
- setting up control equipment and selecting frequencies before a flight;
- working with analogue and digital video and control links;
- coordinating with the crew and reconnaissance while guiding the drone onto a target;
- servicing, minor repair and stock-keeping of the unit's drones.
Requirements
- understanding of how a drone and its main components work;
- flying experience or simulator practice;
- ability to stay focused under stress;
- responsibility and discipline;
- FPV experience, even as a hobby, is an advantage;
- joystick control skills, including from video games, are an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 50,000 to UAH 120,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
