FPV Drone Pilot Instructor
Non-Combat Roles20 000-50 000 UAHUAVs and UGVs
The FPV drone pilot instructor teaches operators to fly first-person-view drones: runs classes according to the training programme, plans training flights and oversees them from pre-flight preparation to debriefing. Mentors trainees until they can work on their own and keeps the teaching materials up to date with current field practice.
Responsibilities
- running training classes according to the FPV drone pilot programme;
- planning missions and routes for training flights;
- assessing weather conditions and servicing equipment before flights;
- conducting and supervising the full cycle of a training flight;
- mentoring trainees throughout the whole course;
- preparing and updating teaching materials.
Requirements
- confident FPV drone piloting and experience of using them in combat;
- understanding of FPV drone tactics;
- knowledge of ways to protect FPV drones from electronic warfare;
- skills in assembling, configuring and repairing drones;
- strong communication skills and experience of working with an audience;
- instructor certification is an advantage.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- 30 calendar days of annual paid leave and up to 10 days of additional leave for family reasons;
- psychological support within the unit.
