The legal officer handles the legal side of a military unit's activities: checks documents for compliance with the law, drafts contracts and court filings, advises personnel on military law and represents the brigade in courts and before government bodies. This is office work within the headquarters, with a large volume of documents.
Responsibilities
- organising the work of the unit's legal service;
- legal review of orders, contracts and other unit documents;
- drafting contracts, motions, applications, lawsuits, responses and appeals;
- representing the unit in courts and before government bodies;
- advising personnel on matters of military law;
- providing legal support for internal investigations;
- monitoring compliance with the law and internal regulations.
Requirements
- law degree and knowledge of military legislation;
- experience as a lawyer, preferably in a military unit;
- ability to negotiate and argue a position convincingly;
- ability to process large volumes of information;
- skills in dealing with government bodies.
Conditions
- officer position: service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
