The deputy battalion commander for armament is the officer who keeps the sub-units' standard weapons serviceable, accounted for and ready for use: monitors their technical condition, maintains records of holdings and movement, trains personnel in weapon handling rules and inspects ammunition storage conditions. Work in the battalion's sub-units and with staff documentation.
Responsibilities
- monitoring the technical condition of the battalion sub-units' weapons;
- keeping records of weapon holdings, movement and condition;
- running briefings on the rules for using and maintaining weapons;
- organizing personnel training in weapon maintenance;
- checking that weapons and ammunition are stored in line with safety requirements;
- preparing proposals for improving the condition and provision of weapons.
Requirements
- higher education;
- knowledge of weapons, military equipment and their maintenance procedures;
- knowledge of military service requirements and governing documents;
- a relevant military qualification is an advantage;
- combat experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- officer position: service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving, with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 26,000 to UAH 126,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided, statutory social guarantees and benefits;
- annual paid leave and additional leave as provided by law.
