The chief of staff of a battalion that operates unmanned systems, electronic warfare equipment and ground robotic systems organizes the work of the staff officers and keeps command and control of the units running. The role centers on combat documentation and record-keeping, communication with the units and preparing the commander's decisions.
Responsibilities
- leading the staff officers and organizing their daily work;
- keeping the battalion's records and combat documentation;
- planning combat training and organizing reporting;
- organizing communication between the staff and the battalion's units;
- monitoring the state of the units and their level of combat readiness;
- helping prepare the commander's decisions and coordinating their execution.
Requirements
- higher education;
- knowledge of military decision-making procedures and the field manuals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- ability to make independent decisions with limited information;
- leadership and management skills;
- combat experience is an advantage.
Conditions
- officer position; service under contract or through mobilization, transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the commander's consent;
- monthly pay from UAH 26,000 to UAH 126,000;
- uniform and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and additional leave;
- statutory social guarantees and benefits for service members.
