The deputy battalion commander for psychological support is responsible for the mental state of the battalion's personnel. The work involves individual consultations and group sessions with soldiers who have been through stress or traumatic experiences, resilience training, emergency support in crisis situations and regular reporting to the command.
Responsibilities
- counselling service members on stressful situations and traumatic experiences;
- conducting individual and group psychotherapy sessions;
- working with fears and anxiety among the battalion's personnel;
- developing and running training on stress management and emotional resilience;
- providing emergency psychological support in crisis situations;
- keeping daily reports, logs and other service records.
Requirements
- university degree in psychology;
- experience in a psychological support role within a military unit;
- empathy, communication skills and emotional resilience;
- ability to work with the command and as part of a team;
- computer literacy and record-keeping skills;
- additional certificates and qualifications in psychology are an advantage.
Conditions
- officer position: service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- uniform, equipment and meals provided;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees.
