The rifleman-medic provides first aid to the wounded and sick during training and everyday service at the training center, looks after first aid kits and medical supplies, and at the same time performs the duties of a rifleman in the squad. The work combines medical training with service on equal terms with other members of the squad.
Responsibilities
- providing first aid to the wounded and sick within the scope of own training;
- carrying out initial checks and hygiene measures in the unit;
- collecting and passing to the commander information on the health of personnel;
- restocking, storing and keeping records of first aid kits and medical supplies;
- servicing medical equipment;
- performing rifleman duties and maintaining the issued weapon.
Requirements
- knowledge of first aid procedures;
- skills in handling medical supplies and first aid kits;
- small arms handling skills;
- attentiveness and ability to act quickly in an emergency;
- discipline and adherence to military regulations.
Conditions
- service under contract or through mobilization; transfer for those already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- monthly pay from UAH 20,000 to UAH 50,000;
- full provision of uniform, equipment and meals;
- annual paid leave and statutory social guarantees under Ukrainian law.
